What If Water Has Reached The Roof Decking?

Once water gets past the roofing material and into the decking underneath, the wood itself can absorb moisture and weaken, even if the surface damage looks minor from above. That decking needs to dry out and, in damaged sections, be replaced before a repair can properly seal the area again.
